Brendan Edwards is a qualified professional senior fire fighter with Fire and Rescue NSW with eight years experience in all aspects of fire safety, fire fighting, management of an incident site, and fire safety education.
Brendan holds specialist competencies in occupational health & safety, risk management, and safety compliance auditing, in addition to all of the associated competencies required in responding to an emergency and in managing a major incident site.
Brendan is a graduate of the Fire & Rescue NSW Training College having graduated in 2004 with a Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations) PUA30601. Brendan has subsequently gained additional qualifications and competencies in achieving a Certificate II in Firefighting Operations (Public Administration - NTIS Code 1927), and the Senior Firefighter Promotional Program (Level 2 - Incident Command System) in 2009.
Brendan also holds certificates in risk management standard AS/NZS ISO 31000:2009, Management Systems Auditing (RABQSA-AU), and a certificate in Quality Auditing (BSBAUD-402B) all issued by SAI Global.
Brendan also holds a NSW WorkCover Occupational Health & Safety Construction Induction Certificate, and a NSW RailCorp Rail Safety Induction (RISI) competency in addition to the associated rail safety worker health assessment.
Brendan is also an experienced trainer in community and school based fire safety awareness briefing sessions.
Brendan joined ATRS in 2010 and is available to assist client needs in the specialist areas of fire safety and property inspections, emergency response assessments, safety risk management, and safety compliance auditing.
