Phil Boon — Senior Associate

Phil Boon has 29 years experience in the rail industry with specialist competencies in rail operations having been a train driver in the Hunter Valley heavy haul bulk environment and other operational management roles such as train crewing training coordinator.

 

Phil has also held senior corporate management positions such as Manager Safety Compliance and Investigation within Pacific National specialising in OH&S policy and regulation, and safety incident investigation and compliance auditing.

 

Phil is a graduate from Newcastle University with degrees in both OH&S and Business Management, and holds many other supporting qualifications including  OH&S auditing, competency based training and development, and rail safety management systems.

 

Phil is also an experienced industry based professional teacher/trainer in Occupational Health and Safety for the Hunter Institute of TAFE College, and conducts training on behalf of the NSW WorkCover Authority.

 

Phil joined ATRS in 2008 and may assist client needs in the specialist areas of SMS development, safety compliance auditing, rail safety accreditation, and managing safety in a rail or construction environment.
