Kevin Clifton — Senior Associate

Kevin joined ATRS in 2008 following an extensive career in the Australian rail industry with organisations such as the NSW State Rail Authority, Freight Rail Corporation, National Rail Corporation, Pacific National and Asciano.

 

Safety and operational positions held by Kevin include Manager Safety Compliance and Investigation within a senior corporate environment, Business Division Safety, Risk and Environment Manager, Operations Support Manager, Locomotive Driver Specialist, Locomotive Driver Training Officer, and Locomotive Driver.

 

Kevin has extensive operational safeworking rules experience, and in particular, as an industry member of the ARA and RISSB National Network Safeworking Rules Working Group.  Kevin is a long term supporter of the rail industry strategic policy and direction in the development of a national rule book to suit the industry needs of improved safety and greater efficiency.

 

In addition, Kevin is an acknowledged rail industry expert in OH&S legislation and regulations and their respective application across all Australian States, the Northern Territory and the Commonwealth Comcare jurisdiction.

 

Kevin is a Graduate of Deakin University with a Certificate of Management, in addition to an earlier Certificate of Management obtained from the Hunter (NSW) Institute of TAFE.  Kevin also holds a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, and a Graduate Diploma in Training and Assessment Systems.
