Bill Fowler — Senior Associate

It is with great pleasure that ATRS presents Bill Fowler as the company senior specialist in the safety critical area of rail track infrastructure engineering.

 

Bill has over 50 years wide ranging experience in rail track construction and maintenance having worked in his specialist area in organisations such as the Indian Railways, State Rail Authority of NSW, and the NSW Freight Rail Corporation.

 

The significant hands-on practical experience of Bill in rail track engineering has been gained through positions such as Permanent Way Inspector, Infrastructure Engineer, Technical and Liaison Officer to the Chief Civil Engineer, and Manager Train Operations Engineering.

 

In addition, Bill has held senior management positions within the Australian Rail Safety Regulatory system with the NSW Department of Transport as Manager Infrastructure Safety, and more recently with the NSW Independent Transport Safety & Reliability Regulator (ITSRR) as Manager Audit and Compliance.

 

Bill holds a wide range of formal qualifications including certificates for Engineering Surveying, Geotech and Subgrade, Quality Auditing and Railway Investigations.
