Kevin Penny — Senior Associate

ATRS is pleased to present Kevin Penny as one of our most experienced rail operational and safety compliance auditors.  Kevin has extensive experience in all areas of rail operations across Australia following a successful career with organisations such as the Victorian Government Railways, V/Line Passenger & Freight Corporation, Freight Victoria, Freight Australia, and Pacific National Pty Ltd.

 

Kevin has wide ranging experience in providing strategic advice and assistance to organisations in the preparation of rail safety accreditation submissions, and the development and implementation of rail safety management plans.

 

In addition to a very strong rail operational, train driving, train control, signal box and train crewing background, Kevin has extensive experience in developing, implementing and auditing rail safety management systems to the AS-4292 and rail safety regulator standards.

 

Kevin is also experienced in the requirements for the maintenance and repair of locomotives and freight rolling stock, and in the very specialised area of locomotive data logger and hassler speed tape interrogation and analysis.

 

Kevin’s competency based rail industry qualifications include locomotive train driving, locomotive inspector, driver trainer, major incident site management, rail accident investigator, and certificate IV in workplace training and assessment.
